3. Toppings in Milk Tea

Toppings in Milk Tea is a display typeface inspired by the graphic forms of milk tea and its toppings. It aims to capture the pleasant and random textures experienced when enjoying milk tea, and a sense of relaxation, delight, and playful.

After extracting the graphic forms, I created a graphic library from which I selected shapes to form the letters.

I created three categories of graphics: boba, jelly, and liquid, inspired by milk tea. Each category includes at least two designs. When building the letters, I tried to incorporate elements from all three categories into each, resulting in a complete set of uppercase letters.

Toppings in Milk Tea aims to deliver a sense of relaxed and joyful living. For the background of the display poster, I incorporated food items that start with the same letter as each corresponding character.

The content of the brochure is divided into three sections: the first part is the reason and inspiration behind creating this typeface, the second focuses on the design elements of the typeface, and the third outlines the design process.
